Moonlit Shijing · Eternal Stone Drums: From the Classic of Poetry to Stone Drum Script

Join Professor Kong Shaokai for a guided journey through Chinese writing—from the Classic of Poetry (Shijing) to Stone Drum inscriptions. The lecture explores ancient poetic feeling and daily life, early stone texts of the pre-Qin world, and calligraphy as a window onto the evolution of characters and an Eastern aesthetic spirit.

Three themes structure the afternoon: Decoding Stone Drum Verse; Unlocking the Classic of Poetry; Entering Calligraphy. Under one bright moon, a thousand years of cultural lineage; on one stone drum, the soul of Chinese poetry. Guests are warmly invited to attend and take part in discussion.
