A California Certified Public Accountant, Wendy Liu brings more than 25 years of accounting and tax experience. Her career spans large multinational corporations and international accounting firms, and she has long advised individuals, families, and businesses on tax and financial matters.

How complicated cases get untangled
One client had been under IRS audit for several years over past filings — carrying enormous stress and facing heavy penalties. With no resolution in sight, they went from one advisor to the next looking for help.
After taking the case on, Wendy reorganized every year's filings, checked the records item by item, and kept the conversation with the IRS going. Her review found errors in the earlier returns that could be corrected. In the end, the client recovered part of what they should never have owed — and an audit that had dragged on for years was finally closed.
Another client had sold a property and was still waiting on a tax refund they were owed. Reviewing the file, Wendy found gaps in how the original return and supporting documents had been prepared.
After supplementing the records, amending the return, and following up with the agencies involved, the client received the refund in full.
